Looking to have fun, meet new people, and see all that DC
has to offer? Look no further!

Hilltop Hostel is THE hostel to experience Washington DC
and surrounding cities in a safe laid-back environment.
Hilltop Hostel is a lovely, privately owned and converted
Victorian home dating back to 1891, with lots of charm and
character and is listed on the DC register of historic buildings.

 

Most of the rooms are dorm style (a few private rooms are
available), and all units share bathrooms.

This amazing neighborhood has lots of unique shops, with CVS and Post Office blocks away. There's many eateries from different cultures and several neighborhood pubs that serve
food for enjoyment and relaxation. If you prefer to cook in our
kitchen, the grocery store is located just a short walk from Hilltop Hostel. For those of you visiting for internships, the library is only 2 blocks away.

For your entertainment, we have a great TV room with satellite including HBO and lots of other channels. There are games, books, poker table and chips for card games for a rainy day. Our basement provides the perfect party atmosphere stocked with a pool table ,foosball, electronic bowling game. For those who want to chill, there are couches and satellite TV.
We provide small lockers (don't forget to bring your own lock) and FREE Internet.


Our lovely backyard paradise has horse shoe pits, deck, table, chairs, couches and hammocks where you can socialize, party or just relax. There is also a sweet gas grill for barbecuing. We're known for our popular back yard parties, cookouts, lovely gardens, and our holiday parties. Be sure to bring instruments for our jam sessions and sing along's! Guests are welcome to responsibly drink alcohol. For those who prefer the great outdoors, there is area to set up your own small tent where you can sleep under the stars in our private backyard.

 

Those of you who love historical homes and/or gardening, our neighborhood is the perfect location. In fact, the house next to hostel was previously owned and lived in by Richard Nixon's assistant. We provide free maps of downtown sites. There is an ATM across the street and also 2 blocks away. Group rates for parties of 15 people or more. Our friendly helpful staff live on premises.
